Circular Weaving has been yet another passion of mine. I was using a wooden one made of plywood, but the edges seemed to fray after a while and catch my finer yarns. My husband's knowledge of LASER cutting and our combined design efforts have produced the Heart in Hand Loom. Some are opaque and some are transparent with different shades. People who are easily distracted will enjoy the opaque while others who like to see their surroundings or just like the cool visual effect with the translucent style.
Please choose opaque or transparent. Each Loom is 11 3/4" in diameter.
They come pre-warped, with an extra warping kit (including tapestry needle, on engraved heart ornament). In an attempt to minimize waste, the cut outs for the hearts work well to hold extra warp thread. I use a mercerized thin yarn/thread. I suggest that you use a strong yarn/thread for you following projects. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't experiment just be mindful when you are weaving.
Many different projects can be made with this loom. This is the weaving version of colorful Mandalas.
Video instructions for warping are available on the tab Instructions Videos on the home page. I continue to work new recipes for the loom.
